Book NowAbout golden eco cafe 1
Tucked into a gorge facing Golden Valley waterfall, this trailside outpost serves wild kopi luwak and Balinese snacks to hiking travelers. Getting here takes a short trek down from the Munduk road, trading vehicle noise for misty valley air and sweeping falls. Trekkers drop their packs for freshly brewed kopi tubruk—steeped from beans gathered from wild civets roaming the mountain slopes rather than caged farms. Pair the brew with warm lak-lak or sweet rolled dadar, then check out the garden vanilla vines before heading back up the trail with packaged spices.
- Wild-harvested kopi luwak: Beans are collected exclusively from wild civets in the surrounding mountain slopes, brewed traditionally as unfiltered kopi tubruk.
- Trailside waterfall overlook: Open-air seating sits right across from Golden Valley waterfall, reached via a short, steep trail off the main road.
- Garden snacks and spice bags: Local owners offer quick tours of the garden's vanilla vines and coffee trees alongside freshly made lak-lak and dadar.

Helpful tips on trail accessibility, specialty coffee orders, and local retail items
Prepare for a Short Hike
Reaching the cafe requires a 5 to 10-minute walk down from the main road. The trail can be challenging if you are unaccustomed to hiking, making it unsuitable for the elderly or those carrying infants.
Try the Wild Kopi Luwak
Order the house specialty kopi luwak, which is prepared in the traditional Balinese kopi tubruk style from beans gathered from wild civets rather than caged animals.
Browse Spices and Garden Plants
Before heading back up the trail, pick up packaged local spices and coffee beans available for retail, or ask the friendly resident hosts to show you the garden vanilla and coffee trees.
