About Cafe Wayan

Tucked off Monkey Forest Road, this sanctuary unfolds into a deep Balinese courtyard of stone pathways, fountains, and carp ponds. Head past the front counters toward the low cushion seating set deep in the greenery, where the scent of temple incense cuts through the street noise. Diners gravitate toward the Nasi Campur—a generous spread centered on spiced rice ringed with chicken curry, satay, and crisp corn fritters. An unhurried afternoon easily drifts into glasses of chilled papaya juice, thick slices of chocolate mousse cake, and morning cooking workshops conducted in the rear pavilion.

  • Expansive garden grounds: Winding pathways, carp ponds, and traditional craft stretch far back from the street.
  • Signature Nasi Campur: Platters ringed with chicken curry, satay, tempe, and crisp corn fritters.
  • Garden cooking workshops: Hands-on culinary lessons hosted in the open-air garden pavilion.
