About Warung Segara

Set your feet straight into the volcanic sand for fresh catch grilled over open coals at the edge of the sea. Run by an Amed fishing family, this rustic shoreline warung cuts out the resort markup while serving up whole tuna, mahi-mahi, and black snapper chosen straight from the day's haul. Diners come for hearty helpings paired with rice, sautéed greens, and spicy sambal matah, lingering over cold drinks as the sunset lights up Mount Agung across the water. Note that transactions are settled strictly in cash.

  • Daily Catch on the Grill: Guests pick whole fish like tuna or snapper straight from the fresh daily haul to be grilled over the open barbecue.
  • Beachfront Sand Seating: Tables sit directly in the sand meters from the waves, offering front-row sunset views stretching toward Mount Agung.
  • Modest Warung Pricing: Meals feature generous portions of Balinese and Indonesian staples priced comfortably below typical resort rates.

Why Choose Warung Segara

Why diners choose Warung Segara for fresh seafood and beachfront relaxation in Amed

  • Fresh Catch Selected and Grilled to Order

Select your fish directly from the daily catch before it is cooked over charcoal, or have your own fresh catch prepared at an affordable price with rice, vegetables, and sambal matah.

We choose our own fish from the day's fresh catch - we selected two beautiful Black Snapper. They were grilled to absolute perfection.

  • Generous Portions at Honest Local Prices

Enjoy filling portions of local Indonesian staples and fresh seafood at modest warung rates without paying inflated resort pricing.

A fantastic authentic place, cheap, local and 2 meters from the sea. You can have time to time frisk grilled fish, if you are lucky. All food and juice are delicious. Around half price of the same local fancy places from the main road.

  • Varied Menu for Any Time of Day

Choose across a broad selection of Indonesian favorites, grilled fish, Western breakfast options, burgers, and fresh juices prepared to order.

There is a good variety of foods and the view you get to the ocean is great. I recommend going for dinner and watch the sunset, it was very cosy. There is also a lot of drinks to chose from.
