About The Odd Cat Bali

Tucked down a quiet Tibubeneng gang, this open-air sanctuary pairs cold watermelon juice with scores of rescued street cats. No cover fee, no pedigrees—just dozens of healthy, rehabilitated felines ready to sprawl across your table while overhead fans keep the afternoon heat at bay. Visitors sip iced tea, share treats, or talk adoption with the dedicated caretakers. Out back, dedicated suites give traveling pet parents long-term boarding with outdoor access and regular photo updates. Tables fill fast with cat lovers cooling off with an ice pop while a quiet tabby dozes on their lap.

  • Rescue Shelter & Cafe: An open shelter housing over 80 rescued street cats with free entry, casual refreshments, and adoption opportunities.
  • Attentive Boarding & Cat Hotel: Long-term care and dedicated rooms with outdoor access, backed by regular photo and video check-ins for traveling owners.
  • Courtyard Refreshments: Chilled watermelon juices, iced teas, and treats served in an unpretentious courtyard cooled by fans.

  • Relaxed Shaded Alleyway Cafe with Cool Refreshments

Guests enjoy chilled blended juices, iced teas, and light cafe bites in a peaceful outdoor shaded space while spending time feeding friendly resident felines.

We got yummy iced teas, blended juices and even an ice pop! Please come here and support this amazing place and everything they do!

  • Direct Support for Bali Rescue and Street Cat Welfare

Unlike purely commercial cat lounges, the venue operates as an open shelter housing over 80 to 90 street cats, funding medical treatments and daily care via visits, tips, and merchandise.

It's probably the only cat rescue with a cafe. It's not a fancy, commercialised cafe but you get to interact with the 80 cats in the premise.

  • Opportunities for Fostering, Adoption, and Sponsorship

The team facilitates on-site fostering, adoptions, and virtual sponsorships so visitors can make a direct, tangible difference for vulnerable felines.

Go visit to support a beautiful business with loving rescue cats. We adopted a cat virtually afterwards, which i also recommend for as low as like 5 euros a month.

Before you head over

Practical advice for visiting the rescue shelter and cat cafe in Tibubeneng

  • Arrive by Motorbike

Reach the cafe by scooter if possible, as it sits in a very narrow alleyway with limited parking out front; cars must park outside the gang.

  • Beat the Afternoon Heat

Afternoon and evening visits can get warm, so plan your time in the shaded outdoor areas where fans help keep you and the cats cool.

  • Support via Cafe Treats and Donations

Entry is free, but you can directly support the shelter's 80+ rescues by ordering drinks, buying cat treats, or donating to vet care.
