About Biku

Set in an antique teak joglo relocated beam by beam off the Seminyak strip, Biku trades commercial bustle for breezy, quiet charm. Afternoons revolve around high tea—tiered china stacked with warm scones, savory bites, and house-blended tea. Regulars make a beeline for the bakery counter, where slices of spiced carrot cake remain non-negotiable. Come Sunday evening, an unamplified string band plays acoustic sets at easy conversational volume while the kitchen turns out plates of spicy dendeng balado.

  • Vintage Joglo Heritage: An authentic antique wooden joglo relocated to Kerobokan Kelod, decorated with home-style vintage furnishings and quiet garden corners.
  • Dual-Style High Tea: Multi-tiered afternoon tea service served on fine china, offering both traditional English and Indonesian savory-sweet selections.
  • Signature Desserts: A bustling pastry counter known across the island for massive slices of carrot cake, pavlova, and fresh-baked daily treats.
  • Conversational Sunday Music: Sunday evenings feature live, acoustic keroncong string ensembles performing without amplification so dinner conversations can carry on easily.
