About Warung Pondok

Board a wooden jukung at sunrise, catch your own fish, and have it grilled right on the sand for lunch. This barefoot warung along the bay pairs fresh ocean catches with relaxed family hospitality. Diners pull up chairs directly on the beach, sipping cold beer or citrusy house arak cocktails while waves lap the shore. Come sundown, the host family breaks out acoustic guitars for easygoing jam sessions at your table, occasionally accompanied by weekend Balinese dance. The kitchen serves your daily catch seasoned and hot off the coals alongside grilled vegetables and sambal.

  • Sunrise Catch-and-Cook: Head out on traditional boats at dawn with the host, then return to have your freshly caught fish grilled over open coals.
  • Barefoot Beachside Jams: Enjoy fresh seafood meals and house arak cocktails directly on the sand, accompanied by evening acoustic guitar sessions and weekend Balinese dance.
