Down a narrow Ubud alley, an open-air pavilion opens right over a jungle ravine. Bali regulars head here specifically for the babi guling, ordering the special platter to catch the daily roast before individual cuts run out. Plates arrive fast—tender pork, spiced blood sausage, rich vegetable broth, and shatteringly brittle crackling. Pair the heat of the sambal with a cold papaya juice while taking in the green canopy. Cash only.
