Ran by Polish-Balinese hosts Gosia and Gusti, this upbeat roadside hangout pulls in an international crowd for easy conversation, dancing, and singing competitions. The kitchen turns out fragrant fish baked in banana leaves and fresh nasi campur alongside dumplings pinched to traditional recipes. Grab an icy Bintang or an Arak Attack at the bar while the band kicks in around eight.

The biggest surprise were the pierogi. One of our friends is from Poland and said they were the best pierogi she has ever eaten – you really can’t give a better compliment than that. The Indonesian dishes were also delicious
