About Warung Rama

Ibu Dayu runs this small, quiet warung in Mas, turning fresh morning market hauls into comforting Balinese food cooked entirely from scratch. No display warmers, no digital nomad laptop buzz—just a few shared tables on a calm street. Everything emerges one pan at a time. The signature nasi kuning pairs fragrant yellow rice with spiced coconut and marinated chicken, while a bowl of home-style vegetable soup arrives steaming alongside fresh fruit juice.

  • Scratch-Cooked to Order: Every dish is cooked individually to order from produce bought fresh at the local morning market, without pre-batching.
  • Unpretentious Local Value: Traditional staples like nasi kuning, mie goreng, and hearty soups come at standard local prices without surprise taxes or service charges.
  • Tranquil, Screen-Free Setting: A small setup without Wi-Fi keeps out laptop crowds, offering a calm, neighborly kitchen atmosphere.

A deliberate lack of Wi-Fi protects the space from remote-worker laptop encampments, preserving an unhurried, meal-focused atmosphere.

we especially liked the fact that there was no WiFi as some places in Ubud can be full of 'certain types' busy working loudly on their laptops while drinking coffee all day long.
