Nothing sits under warming lamps here—every order of vegetarian nasi campur, spicy sambal, and grilled catch is fired fresh in the small kitchen. Regulars gladly settle in with a cold drink and wait out the leisurely pace, knowing a complimentary plate of crisp pisang goreng often lands on the table to close out the meal.

  • Advance-Order Feasts: Specialty celebratory roasts like rich Ayam Betutu can be arranged with several hours or a day of advance notice.
  • Custom Cooking Classes: Hands-on culinary workshops let guests select their own lineup of traditional dishes to cook from scratch.

She made sure to explain everything, let me taste as we cooked, and made sure I wrote down everything so I can make these dishes at home someday.

  • Slow-Cooked Betutu Advance Banquets

Planning ahead allows dining groups to feast on labor-intensive regional specialties like traditional Ayam Betutu that require advance preparation.

Weve been coming to Warung Ole back and forth and I think everyone should try the Ayam BETUTU (refer to the photo) which needs to be ordered 4hours before.

  • Custom Pre-Ordered Regional Roasts

Special communal feasts like pre-ordered grilled duck provide visitors spending multiple days in Amed with an authentic celebratory meal.

On the second night, the restaurant was a bit busier, and one table of five had pre-ordered the grilled duck, so we had to wait a little longer for our food. We were feeling a bit jealous of them enjoying the duck!

Before you head over

Practical tips for timing your meals, pre-ordering roasts, and booking workshops

  • Allow Extra Time for Made-to-Order Dishes

Dishes are prepared entirely from scratch to order rather than reheated, which can result in noticeable wait times or upwards of an hour during dinner rushes. Plan an unhurried visit and order a drink while waiting.

  • Pre-Order Special Roasts in Advance

Signature slow-cooked specialties like Ayam Betutu or grilled duck require substantial prep time; order at least 4 hours to a full day in advance so the kitchen can prepare them.

  • Customize Your Cooking Class Menu

If you want to learn Balinese home cooking, arrange your workshop ahead of time. You get to select the recipes you want to make and can take home leftover portions.
