About Kaum Bali

Perched right over Potato Head Beach Club, Kaum Bali pairs sweeping ocean sunsets with an ambitious dive into indigenous Indonesian culinary traditions. Expect elevated regional plates designed for sharing—from smokier cuts off the grill to fish prepared using traditional Balinese timbungan, slow-roasted inside fresh bamboo. Diners routinely single out the Karangan tasting journey, tender Jimbaran-style grilled octopus, and fragrant coconut rice, followed by a savory-sweet banana pisang dessert.

  • Indigenous Cooking Techniques: Tasting formats like the Karangan journey highlight regional recipes and age-old culinary techniques, including fish cooked inside bamboo stalks.
  • Seaside Sunset Perch: Set on an upper terrace inside the Potato Head complex, offering sweeping coastal views across the beach club as the sun drops.
  • Shareable Feasts for Groups: Generous, shareable spreads and seasoned hospitality accommodate both celebratory milestone dinners and large-table gatherings.

Why diners choose Kaum Bali for elevated regional gastronomy and unforgettable sunset moments

Curated multi-course journeys like the Karangan and East Journey menus showcase regional provenance and authentic methods, including fish cooked traditionally in bamboo.

We chose the “Karangan” menu, a beautifully curated dining journey inspired by the Balinese tradition of communal feasting, thoughtfully reimagined by Chef Wayan.

  • Memorable Milestone Celebrations

Thoughtful staff tailor celebrations with personalized surprises, making anniversaries, family milestones, and birthdays feel genuinely celebrated.

We were given a table at a beautiful corner table with stunning views of the sunset, beach, and beach club. All the dishes were excellent, with the Rendang, Octopus, and Gado Gado being our favourites. The surprise anniversary dessert and shots were a delightful and thoughtful touch.
