About Swiss Restaurant

Legian's unlikely slice of the Alps serves bubbling pots of cheese fondue alongside plates of chicken satay. Operating since the late 1980s, the wood-lined dining room channels an old-school Swiss ski chalet in the tropics—replete with European tunes, guestbooks dating back decades, and weekly Monday Jass card games. Resident Swiss owner Jon often visits tables to swap travel lore or share Bali itineraries, while the kitchen melts proper raclette, slices chilled Wurst-Käsesalat, and turns out pepper tenderloin steaks.

  • Alpine Classics & Indonesian Fare: Pots of cheese fondue, melted raclette, and chilled Wurst-Käsesalat share space with chicken satay and nasi campur.
  • Ski Chalet Atmosphere: Wood-lined dining room featuring Swiss-Balinese decor, vintage guestbooks, and regular Monday Jass card nights.
  • Hands-On Swiss Hospitality: Owner Jon and his team personally welcome guests, sharing cross-continental travel stories and local Bali touring tips.
