About Gyukatsu Tenjin

Gyukatsu Tenjin delivers tender, panko-crusted beef cutlets seared over personal tabletop stone grills. You will not find ramen or sushi here—this compact Kerobokan counter zeros in exclusively on gyukatsu. Diners choose their cut, from Australian Wagyu to marbled A5 Miyazaki, delivered rare with a crisp breadcrumb crust. Every set arrives flanked by steaming Japanese rice, warm miso soup, shredded cabbage, and dipping sauces. A few seconds on the hot hibachi stone renders the beef buttery, seasoned simply with a pinch of salt.

  • Interactive Hibachi Grilling: Each guest receives a personal tabletop stone grill to sear their breaded cutlets to preferred doneness.
  • Specialized Wagyu Cuts: Focuses strictly on gyukatsu beef sets with selections spanning Australian Wagyu to Japanese A5 Miyazaki.
  • Complete Set Meals: Sets come complete with Japanese rice, hot miso soup, fresh shredded cabbage, and dipping condiments.

  • Melt-in-Mouth Value Satisfaction

Guests consistently remark on the tender, melt-in-the-mouth texture and abundant portions offered at accessible price points.

Honestly it’s the best gyukatsu I’ve ever had. The meat is super tender, juicy, and really worth it. Portions are also quite big, so it’s very satisfying.

Before you head over

Essential timing, dining, and arrival pointers for your visit

  • Arrive at Opening to Avoid Waitlists

Seating is limited and waitlists build up fast during dinner and peak weekend hours. Walk in right at opening or come for a late lunch to secure a table without queuing.

  • Prepare for Tabletop Searing Smoke

Individual tabletop hibachi searing can leave lingering smoke and cooking scents on fabrics. Wear casual, easy-to-wash clothes rather than delicate evening wear.

  • Plan for Tight Car Parking

On-site parking is restricted to roughly three car spots out front and fills up rapidly. Consider arriving by scooter or ride-hailing to avoid parking delays.
