Perched high along the Kintamani ridge, Montana Del Cafe opens at dawn so early risers can watch the caldera mist clear over hot coffee and mushroom toast with egg. Downstairs, patrons wait their turn on the suspended jaring net for photos directly above the valley floor. Staff circulate with extra blankets when the mountain chill sets in, serving plates of truffle fries, shrimp noodles, and slices of mocha cake.
